Randall Gorman
Randall Gorman is President of La Jolla Capital Group, a boutique Commercial Real Estate Finance/Syndication/Investment Analysis firm located in La Jolla, CA. Before founding La Jolla Capital Group, he served as Vice President of Commercial Real Estate Finance for Countrywide Capital Markets and ran the San Diego office that he opened. Prior to his appointment to this position in 2007, he served as Director of Loan Production for Commercial Capital Bank (and later Washington Mutual) running their San Diego commercial real estate lending division. He joined Commercial Capital Bank in 1999 as an Associate, and was eventually responsible for close to $1 Billion in commercial loan originations, and all operations of the San Diego and La Jolla office. Prior to Commercial Capital Bank Randall served as an analyst with Wells Fargo Capital Markets in their commercial mortgage backed securities group.
Randall’s private sector experience includes serving as Chairman of an Orange County based mortgage banking firm. While there he successfully established significant credit facilities and private equity investments. Additionally, he served on the board or advised several small businesses owners on various general business issues. He was a former board member for Temple Beth Sholom in Chula Vista, and for the Senior Community Centers of San Diego, the largest senior housing/mental-social health/food provider for seniors living below the poverty level in San Diego.
Randall is currently a member of the San Diego Yacht Club, CCIM San Diego, NAIOP and the San Diego Apartment Association. He is a current California and former Florida Mortgage Broker, holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California Santa Barbara and an MBA from San Diego State University.
Michael Proto
Michael Proto is Vice President of La Jolla Capital Group. After graduating from San Diego State University with a degree in Real Estate Finance, Michael started his commercial real estate finance career in the Income Property Lending Division at Commercial Capital Bank. Based in Irvine, CA, Commercial Capital Bank operated 10 loan offices throughout California originating small to medium sized multifamily loans, commercial real estate loans and construction loans.
In 2006 Commercial Capital Bank was acquired by Washington Mutual Bank. Michael stayed on with Washington Mutual for just under a year before being recruited by Countrywide Commercial Real Estate Finance to start the San Diego lending division. At Countrywide Commercial, Michael analyzed and originated conduit, portfolio and Fannie Mae loans for direct borrowers and brokers with loan amounts ranging from $500K-$20MM on multifamily, office, industrial, retail, mixed use and self storage properties. Working with the capital markets group, he also participated in the securitization of loan pools and conducted asset reviews for B-piece buyers to facilitate the sale of commercial mortgage backed securities.
Michael is currently a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) candidate pursuing his designation and is a member of the San Diego CCIM chapter.
Everett Gutierrez
Everett Gutierrez is Director of Residential Sales of La Jolla Capital Group. Everett’s professional resume includes a sales position at a Fortune 500 company, as well as several years in the banking industry. While in sales for AT&T, Everett consistently ranked in the upper echelon of sales ranking and customer service. As a Banking Officer for Wells Fargo Bank, Everett regularly placed atop the regional sales standings.
Everett’s educational path began as an Accounting major at BIOLA University in Orange County, a nationally recognized program. Everett finished his undergraduate degree at San Diego State University, with a degree in Comparative Literature and a minor in Philosophy. During his junior year at San Diego State, Everett spent a semester abroad in London, further expanding his mastery of communication and personal relations.
Everett is a member of both the National and California Association of Realtors. Everett possesses an extensive knowledge of the current Real Estate market, having worked on numerous short sale and bank owned transactions, as well as traditional sales between buyers and sellers. Paired with Everett’s mastery of language and communication skills, his comprehensive understanding of the Real Estate market enables him to provide both a professional and personal experience to his clients.
